Founded in 1944, our enterprise was built on the enduring principles of integrity, discretion, and long-term partnership. What began as a distinguished paper trading house has, over generations, evolved into a diversified global business with deep-rooted industry expertise and an expanding international presence.
From our early establishment in Eastern India to our strategic expansion across key commercial centres including Kolkata, Ranchi, Chennai, Sivakasi, and Bengaluru, we have cultivated a reputation defined by reliability and excellence. Our contribution to India’s export landscape earned us the recognition of “Export House” status, a testament to our commitment to global standards and trusted trade relationships.
Today, our operations span premium paper and packaging solutions, international sourcing and distribution of industrial and consumer materials, and floriculture through our orchid farms. Across every vertical, we remain guided by a philosophy that values quality over volume, relationships over transactions, and sustainability alongside growth.
Rooted in legacy yet aligned with modern global commerce, we continue to strengthen our international footprint while preserving the values that have shaped our journey for over eight decades.
We strive to be a globally respected enterprise defined by enduring partnerships, uncompromising quality, and principled commerce, seamlessly connecting industries, markets, and communities across borders.
We envision sustained growth built not merely on scale, but on trust, reputation, and the quiet strength of long-term relationships that transcend generations.
We have constantly aimed to source, distribute, and deliver premium products across paper, packaging, industrial materials, and floriculture with precision, transparency, and reliability, alongside cultivating lasting alliances with manufacturers, partners, and clients by upholding the highest standards of integrity and operational excellence.
Our goal is to continuously evolve with global markets while remaining rooted in the values that have guided our enterprise since 1944: responsibility, adaptability, and respect for every stakeholder in the value chain.

From its origins in Eastern India, our enterprise has grown thoughtfully across key commercial centres, reflecting both heritage and strategic expansion.
Kolkata stands as a principal hub of our operations and the centre of our immediate family-led enterprises, including HLBP Exim Pvt Ltd. and B.D. Packaging & Allied Industries Pvt Ltd. From here, we direct significant export-import activities and packaging initiatives alongside our latest floriculture venture, reinforcing our presence in both domestic and international markets.
Ranchi marks the birthplace of our journey in 1944, the city where our family’s trading legacy was first established. It remains a symbol of our origins and enduring values.
Our expansion into Chennai reflects a deliberate move to strengthen our footprint in Southern India, enhancing regional partnerships and operational agility.
With a presence in Bengaluru, we further consolidated our engagement with the southern markets, deepening industry relationships and broadening our distribution network.
Together, these locations represent more than geographic reach. They reflect the measured and generational growth of a family enterprise committed to enduring partnerships and principled expansion.

Guided by our philosophy of being rooted in nature, we believe that responsible business practices must evolve alongside growth. From the paper products we trade to the orchids we cultivate, our work remains closely connected to natural resources, making environmental mindfulness an essential part of how we operate.
In addition to conventional paper grades, our portfolio also includes bagasse pulp, a sustainable fibre derived from the residue of sugarcane after juice extraction. By encouraging the use of agricultural by-products as an alternative to traditional wood-based pulp, bagasse contributes to more resource-efficient paper production and reflects the industry’s gradual shift toward environmentally responsible raw materials.

At Florets Farms, where our orchids are grown, we have implemented a thoughtfully designed rainwater harvesting system to support sustainable cultivation. Rainwater that falls across the farm, including water collected from the roofs of our polyhouses, is carefully directed through a drainage network into an artificial reservoir created within the farm.
This naturally harvested water is then used to irrigate the orchids, allowing us to reduce dependence on external water sources while making responsible use of seasonal rainfall.
For us, sustainability is not defined by grand gestures, but by conscious decisions that respect the natural systems we depend on. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to building practices that preserve this balance.
